The major commercial fisheries activities in Tonga are Tuna Longlining, Deepwater Droplining for snapper and grouper, harvesting of seaweed (Cladosiphon sp), harvesting of corals, inverterbrates and fish for the ornamented aquarium trade and charter of vessels for whale, game fishing and SCUBA diving.
